2010 5 star Highschool point gaurd K.C Miller has commited to the Kentucky Wildcats. This is CBC's 6th recruit in 3 months and 4th in the last 3 weeks! He has already gottin 2 verbals for the 2010 class. Great job done by the coaches and the University of UK to be able to get so many young great players in the door.

Marc Maggard for UK Insiders from Kentucky INK had a intresting phone conversation with K.C Miller the 6'0 -170lb. sophmore Guard out of Texas.(2010 recruit)The conversation went like this.

I had a chance to speak to Tim Miller, KC's father and after a few moments, KC himself arrived to the hotel after completing his

KC Ross Millerunofficial to UK and I got to speak to him as well.

Marc Maggard: I hear from reliable sources that KC's visit is going well and a commitment is imminent
Tim Miller: Well, his mother is planning on visiting the campus after the July dead period for visits is over, so there won't be anything till after that, but the chances of him coming to UK are above 95 percent.

Marc Maggard: So how did KC's visit go?
Tim Miller It was really good. KC loves Kentucky. He's here now, do you want to talk to him?
Marc Maggard: Sure. (hands phone to KC) Hey, KC, let's start with talking a litte bit about your game. What would you say your strenths are and what part of your game do you focus on improving?

KC Ross-Miller: I get to the rim pretty easy and shoot the ball well. I am good at running a team and finding the open man. I am always working on strength and my defense. I can always improve on all areas, but I am concentrating on those areas.

Marc Maggard: How tall are you right now and do you expect to grow any more?

KC Ross-Miller: I'm a legit six feet right now and I expect to grow two to three more inches.

Marc Maggard: You are very close to 2009 UK commited PG, GJ Vilarino. Tell us a little bit about that friendship and if you see that as a positive for coming to UK.

KC Ross-Miller: Yeah, GJ and I are really close. I've played with him since I was in seventh grade. We do great as backcourt teammates and we both are looking forward to the possibilty of playing together in college.

Marc Maggard: Now, GJ is also a PG. How do you see both of you being on the court together at UK if you play the same position? Who would be the 1 and who plays the 2?

KC Ross Miller: So far, we've always been able to make it work on the court. We give and take when we need to and play well together as teammates. I don't think it will be any different in college.

Marc Maggard: So, what is your school list right now?

KC Ross Miller: Well, Kentucky (pause)....and Kentucky, and Kentucky... (we both laugh)...and Texas, Kansas (trails off). At this point, there isn't a close second.

Marc Maggard: So, if your mom agrees on her visit, is it going to be UK?

KC Ross Miller: Yeah, I'd say so.

Marc Maggard: I hear you got to play with the players today at the practice facility. How was that experience and did any of the players stand out to you?

KC Ross Miller: It was really cool. Alex Legion played really well as did Patrick Patterson. Everyone was really good.

Marc Maggard: Did you get a chance to visit Rupp Arena?

KC Ross Miller: OH YEAH.....it was great. I toured the entire campus, saw Rupp and the basketball museum as well. It was a great visit.

Marc Maggard: What is it about coach Gillispie that makes you want to play for him?

KC Ross Miller: He's really the coach I have the best relationship with. He's really cool and a great guy and I know he is a great coach. He will make me better and we will win a national championship.

Marc Maggard: What has he said to you about why he wants you at UK?

KC Ross Miller: He likes that I play hard and he said that we can win championships together. That was all I needed to hear.

Marc Maggard: You play in one of the best backcourts in the nation in summer basketball with Rotnei Clarke and Willie Warren...what is it like playing with those guys as a player two years behind them?

KC Ross: Oh, it's a great experience. I just try to learn as much as I can from them and be a good teammate. I'm not the first option with those great players as seniors to be, but I get to be a good team player.

Marc Maggard: Ok, well, thanks for your time and have a safe trip back home.

KC Ross Miller: Ok, thanks for calling.

Billy Clyde's 1st recruits!!

Coach Billy Clyde

In the first few months of the new Coach Billy Clyde era we have experiance the future of Kentucky basketball. He has already locked in 2 signed recruits in Patrick Patterson and Alex Leigon. With verbaly commited G.J Villarino and in state big man Dakotah Euton. All this in such a little time. This takes us to the new class of 2010.I know it is early but when the 06 class is gone there will be a Fresh look at Kentucky basketball!Everything about the team will be all Billy G's.This is when I expect to see the real Billy G comming out of his shell and UK fans will be in full trust of CoachBilly C lyde as if it was the later years of the Rick Patino Era.Except Coach Billy Clyde has a big advantage that past coaches did not have. With the new Joe Craft Center and more ways to contact recruits. It should all just fall into his hands. With the tools that UK has given the coaches to work with it will be enough to get the All-Ameican high school basketball players though the door. Now its all in Coach Billy Clyde's hands to work his magic and land top notch recruits.
